A story by Joseph Radhik and Kalyan Yasaswi celebrating the love of Abhaya & Uday.

Way back in 2013, we were invited to this wonderful home wedding in Dehradun. The bride, Akshaya, was one of the most down-to-earth and simple people we've ever photographed and her dad had a perfect vision of a simple home wedding in his mind. In the middle of all this was her enthusiastic, super bubbly (and super pretty!) younger sister, Abhaya, who was event-coordinator, bridesmaid, and best friend all rolled into one.

Fast forward one year, and we get a call from Abhaya saying she's getting hitched, to Uday! Uday and his family are the quintessential Punjabi clan, towering men with a great sense of humor and an even greater sense of partying and elegant women who balance out all the loudness of the men. :D

So yes, the wedding was fun, it was beautiful in every way (from the decor to the events to the many bridal entries to the music), but for us it'll always stand out as the wedding where we were made to feel like family all through. From Abhaya welcoming us personally at her mehendi to Uday lifting each one of us up in the air and turning us upside down while pouring bigger-than-patiala-pegs, this is the one wedding which we'll definitely recount as "the most memorable wedding".
